When should I book my newborn session?

We highly recommend booking for your newborn photographer during your pregnancy. We understand babies have their own timeline and can arrive either early or late. We accept reservations based on your due date, this allows flexibility for scheduling once your baby arrives.

By reserving your photography session based on your due date, we can ensure easy scheduling, and we’ll be ready to capture those first precious moments when your little one arrives. Babies grow and change very quickly, so capturing their tiny features and adorable expressions when they are at their tiniest is a priceless opportunity.

We offer a tailored approach to your session, planning every detail, we schedule an in person consult prior to your session, to plan out every detail. You will tour the studio, and have the opportunity to customize your session with your choice of props and accessories. Our outstanding prop collection features many hand crafted one of a kind items. Planning takes time, and if there are any special requests for your session, we need adequate time to accommodate any special order prop requests.

When should my newborn session be scheduled?

When it comes to newborn photography, timing is key. Babies are best photographed at around 2 weeks of age, as they are still very sleepy and can be easily posed in those adorable, curled-up positions. During this time, they also tend to retain some of their newborn characteristics, making for incredibly sweet and precious images that you will treasure forever.
Babies change at an astonishing pace during their first few weeks of life. Their delicate features, the softness of their skin, their adorable little fingers and toes – all of these precious details can transform in the blink of an eye. By scheduling a newborn session early on, you ensure that you capture these moments of pure magic and preserve them forever.
Moreover, newborns are generally easier to pose when they are freshly arrived. During the first two weeks of life, babies are still acclimating to the outside world and spend most of their time sleeping. This sleepiness makes it much easier for our photographers to gently position them into those heart-melting poses you often see in newborn portraits. Capturing those precious poses becomes more challenging as babies grow and become more alert, making it all the more important to schedule your session when they are at their tiniest.
By choosing to schedule your newborn session early, you are investing in a timeless keepsake that will bring you joy for years to come. Imagine looking back on those photographs when your child is all grown up, reliving those early moments filled with innocence and wonder. It's a beautiful way to reminisce about those fleeting days that pass by in the blink of an eye.
